Hampton Ranch

Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that was involved in this years sale.
From all the great helpers to all biders and buyers.
41 years and this year was the best one ever.
A few years ago we started doing the sale a little different. Almost every year since the sale has gotten better. We want to thank you all again for coming back year after year and buying our c**ts. I talked to a woman at this years sale that had 2 horses that came from us 27 years ago and just lost the last 1 this year. She came and bought 2 more this year. And I had a man call me from Jacksonville Florida a few days ago. He's riding a horse that came from us and is so happy with him and wanting to get another one. It's very humbling to hear story after story of how people love the product you produce. This year we had c**ts go to South Carolina, Georgia , Amarillo Texas and other states.
Next year we hope to offer some c**ts by Chewey Hashtag. He is our new stud and is a son of Hashtags and out of a daughter of Peptoboonsmal. We have bred a few mares to him this year and are very excited to see next years c**t crop!!
Last March we had a great time going to the AQHA Convention in Las Vegas. Wade received a 50 year Breeders Award. That's a long time to be breeding AQHA Horses. Needless to say we are devoted to staying hooked through the good times and the bad times.
We have been having our production sale on the 3rd Saturday in September at Noon at the Ranch in Chewey Oklahoma for over 35 years so save that date in your calendar.
Lord willing we will do it again next year.
We would love to have you come join us in 2027.
May God bless you all.

Kasen Whiteley had a great day at the Adair County Fair today. He was showing a yearling gelding that we raised that won Grand gelding and won Grand in the sale order too.
Then he showed a weanling filly that we raised and won her class and 4 overall of the sale order.
Congratulations Kasen on a great day leading MH horses.

Now, for the rest of the story.
WOW, What a exciting night last night was. I thought I was mentally ready. They told me months ago I had up to 3 minutes to talk whenever I received my award. If you know me 3 minutes of talking is easy. They called my name and I made my way to the stage. The room was pretty full , probably around 800 people. As I got to the stage the AQHA President Jeff Tebow , shakes my hand and says "Westville??" I said , yes Sir. He then says "The best mare I ever owned came from Westville." I ask him what her name was. He told me , and I told him she was born and raised on The Hampton Ranch! We owned her Momma and Daddy both. Then I thought about my Mom naming that mare as a baby and my Dad and his love for good horses and choosing to breed those 2 together. And for the President of the AQHA to say that to me on this stage where so many great horse people have stood. It was just so overwhelming!! Very Very humbling!! I couldn't hardly talk.
After the awards were over I got to talk to him more about his MH mare. Also got to visit with Mr Jim Brinkman Kendra Brinkman and some of what was going on at The Pitzer Ranch.
It was a wonderful, fun , exciting and very humbling, weekend.
So thankful for my family!!
Mom and Dad would have been so happy!!
Wendy and I are very blessed with 3 wonderful daughters and son-in-laws and 9 "Grand" grandkids!! So glad some of them got to come with us. Sure missing the rest!
I missed 1 year some where along the way of getting 50 consecutive years. It took me 51 years instead. I registered my first AQHA horse in 1974. Dad registered his first one year or 2 later. Funny how life works. So much has happened in the last 30 months Dad has been gone.
Time sure goes SO fast! My advice , is stay close to God. Tell your love ones you love them! Live life to it's fullest and enjoy every day as much as possible. Have as much fun as you can. And have at least 1 good horse in your life! More than 1 is even better!!
Remember our annual production sale is Always the Third Saturday in September at Noon at the Ranch. Been that day for over 30 years.
This year will be #41! Hope yall have a very blessed day.
