Yesterday, we discovered a young local family who had faced recent trauma and were navigating an incredibly tough season! Through the beauty of neighborly support, we were able to bless them with DOZENS of fresh eggs to help lighten the load during their darkest days! FOR FREE!!

I don't personally know this family, or even their names, but I hope that these eggs will be a beacon of hope, shining brightly during their most challenging times!!

Let us all be reminded of the profound impact of kindness, generosity and selfless giving! May we strive to be the hands and feet of compassion, uplifting those around us!

♻️ Finding purpose for commonly tossed kitchen scraps!

The banana peel tea will be used as a natural fertilizer in the garden. Steeping them releases nutrients which are loved by tomatoes, peppers, and more. We eat a lot of bananas, so making tea and then throwing them into the compost will give us 3 uses. That's more bang for our buck!! 🍌

The egg shells are used in the garden for calcium loving plants, like tomatoes. They can also be fed back to the chickens themselves to help supplement their calcium needs for continued development of strong egg shells! 🥚

Finding new purpose for things like these feels really good, like a rejuvenating sense of connectedness with our earth and our roots!
