What a day! Pinching myself to be selected by Amazon as one of two companies featured in the Grand Opening of their first distribution hub in Central Oregon.

🎤 And to give opening remarks at the Ribbon Cutting just before the MAYOR!

This is HUGE! 80,000 square feet, to be exact.

And huge for small businesses. Last year alone, 40 million items were sold on Amazon by Oregon-based businesses. This facility is designed to help more local entrepreneurs grow — giving them tools to compete at scale and getting their products to doorsteps faster.

We hear this every. single. day. And it honestly gives us mixed emotions. 🙌🤦‍♀️

It’s both a testament to what we’re building — creating a premium product and service we wish existed when we had our own babies. 🙌

And makes us so antsy. Our biggest opportunity is awareness. Not enough parents know about Square Baby 🤦‍♀️ …yet!

When we started Square Baby, we weren’t trying to build “another baby food company”.

We were trying to fix something we couldn’t unsee.

As a registered dietitian, a mom, and the first nutritionist at Starbucks, I knew what balanced nutrition looked like.

But when I started feeding my own baby, the aisle felt broken: fruit-heavy pouches, misleading claims, missing protein, missing healthy fats, and a lot of applesauce pretending to be a meal.

Babies deserve better. Parents deserve better. This category deserves better.

So we built Square Baby with a different standard: real food, complete balanced nutrition, early allergen introduction, less sugar, more protein, fiber, and healthy fats. No guessing. No BS.

Building this company has been beautiful, brutal, humbling, and deeply personal.

That’s why this moment means so much to Kendall and I.

I’m proud to share that I’ve been selected as a 2026 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow, representing Square Baby amongst an elite group of women entrepreneurs from across the country.

The Fellowship supports women entrepreneurs with tools, advisors, community, and access to scale, lead, and shape the economy.

This recognition is more than an honor. It’s fuel.

💍 Nine years ago, Katie “proposed” to Kendall — knowing she’d found the perfect cofounder to help bring Square Baby to life. And she said yes!!

At the time, our kids were in preschool and elementary school, and we shared a passion for improving infant and children’s nutrition — Katie as a food industry dietitian and Kendall as a certified genetic counselor.

What followed was an incredible journey.

👩‍🍳 We became an FDA-approved food manufacturer and made our first 100,000 meals by hand in a commercial kitchen.

🎤 We pitched on some of the biggest stages in the industry, including earning a Finalist spot at Natural Products Expo West in 2019.

🎯 We joined the Target Accelerator in 2020, learning and growing alongside nine other innovative baby brands.

🥜 We became leaders in Early Allergen Introduction, helping families reduce the risk of food allergies.

💯 We created a customizable meal plan that delivers 100% of a baby’s daily nutrition and established our Nutrition Promises, including ensuring every meal contains more vegetables than any other food group.

💪 We scaled operations from 800 meals per day to 80,000 while maintaining the delicious, homemade quality families expect.

♻️ We developed award-winning sustainable packaging.

🔎 We committed to rigorous testing and transparency, earning recognition from Consumer Reports as a “Most Transparent Brand” for heavy metals.

❤️ And we responded to every single customer service inquiry in our company’s history. Because families deserve real help, empathy, urgency, and the ability to talk to another parent — and a dietitian.
