What began as a backyard passion turned into a community-rooted farmstand where families, kids, and neighbors could find something real — and feel right at home. Around here, we believe that food should be grown with

care, priced with fairness, and shared. We use organic practices, treat our animals with respect, and skip the sprays and shortcuts. Every egg, every bundle of greens, every jar of jam — it’s all done with heart. We keep things simple on purpose — real food, real connection, and space to slow down and enjoy what matters.

We have produce! And sourdough is currently in the oven. Our self-serve honor system farm stand is open Thursday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 5670 Keene Road, Corning. Please check both fridges, we are packing things in!

This weekend we have:

🥚 What is the deal with duck eggs?

People ask me, "Why are duck eggs more expensive?" or "Do they taste different?" "Are ducks hard to raise"?

The scoop:

🦆 Duck eggs are larger than chicken eggs.
🦆 They have bigger yolks, which means richer flavor and extra creaminess.
🦆 Generally, bakers LOVE them because they make cakes fluffier, cookies richer, and breads more tender.

No, they don't taste like duck. 🦆❌
No, they aren't fishy.
Yes, they make incredible deviled eggs.

Now let's talk about raising ducklings. If you've ever thought, "How hard can it be?" the answer is, literally, a total s**t show. 😂

Ducklings arrive on this earth with two goals:

Eat.
Turn every drop of clean water into mud and quickly.

You can give them fresh water, walk away for three minutes, and return to what looks like they've recreated a swamp. They don't just drink water—they bathe in it, splash it, stand in it, p**p in it and somehow manage to get food, bedding, and mystery debris into it. Sometimes, they will lay an egg in it...

Generally, we love them. Occasionally, not so much. Every evening we round them up (an absolute circus) and lock them safely away because around here the local predators consider free-range ducks part of their dinner menu. 😬

So, if you haven't tried duck eggs, give them a try. Bake with them. Eat them scrambled, fried, on top of a cheeseburger...you really can't go wrong...

The Roby Ranch Farm Stand is OPEN this weekend! 5670 Keene Road, Corning.

Despite the blazing heat (and we are not even close to peak temps) and what feels like gale-force winds, we'll be open Thursday through Sunday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

If you come by and the door is closed, it's because of the wind. Our neighbor would not appreciate a door in his front yard. 😊

We may even have a tiny bit of produce available this weekend (it's coming in!)

🥒 And maybe... one cucumber. Seriously, there might only be one. First come, first served. 😂

We love having the bees here. They leave for a few months every year to pollinate the orchards, but they are now busy here in our garden area and fruit trees! 🐝🍯
