It’s fast approaching canning season!

Any of you folks wanting to learn how to water bath can AND/or pressure can? (& learn the difference)

Here’s my thinking…the basics for those wanting to start & maybe some help or courage for those scared to try it or just have questions
I can promise you this…
The hardest part is just taking the leap and getting started!
It is intimidating at first but I’ve been canning since I was a little girl with my grandma & mom. So over 40+ years (hang on…I’m crying a little thinking I’m old as dirt)

Anywho…
I’d be glad to help.

Here’s the options
1. )You can comment below or private message me with a question & I can do a video to answer (or demonstrate) your question (don’t worry I won’t call you out by name)
2. )I can have a small in person class/workshop if enough are interested. You’ll take home your canned good (we could work out the details on that if this option is favored)
3. ) I can kinda do a video or live series this season as I’m canning for our own pantry & farmstand
4. ) You miss out on all of the above & put off learning (& miss out on how YUMMY & rewarding it is to open a can of produce, fruit etc. that YOU safely preserved for you & your family)

Comment below or send me a text or DM
I will for sure get you started so you can have canned goods this year!

Are we considered an Organic farm?
Easy answer? No.
Why? $$$$. It’s expensive to be certified organic. We are a small family farm so we research and apply many organic practices without the certified stamp

What kind of produce will you get here on our farm?
You will get our best. We eat what you eat. We don’t want chemicals in our food either.

That means NO harsh chemicals to control w**ds, pests, insects, etc.

We are diligent to have eyes on the plants DAILY & hands in the dirt DAILY
Soil is tested prior to planting & tested throughout the growing season.

Every seed & plant is put into the ground by hand. It’s hard work but peace of mind and some sweat equity is worth it

Every w**d is pulled by hand or tilled.

We use compost (leaves, scraps, grass, etc) & spent coffee grounds, fresh eggs (shells), manure (cow & chicken), an organic approved lime (if needed), wood ash is collected all year, worm castings, & much more plant based materials
Are we perfect? Nope but I will promise you this…your produce bought at our farmstand was grown HERE & it’s a damn site better for you & your family than most anything you purchase at the store etc.
If we wouldn’t eat it.
We won’t sell it to you!
As always we appreciate every person that takes the time to come & support our little farm & our family
Excited to see you this season!
