Good morning from the Strawberry Field! Tuesday, June 2nd. We are open at our Oatlands field in Leesburg with just a few remaining upick reservations available for today. Patch Bosses Mr. Mark and Ms. Rose are there to help you find the best spots in the field as picking is a little more difficult today. The bucket pictured took Mr. Mark about 30 minutes to fill although he admitted he was just “strolling” this morning…as opposed to getting “serious”. We are closed today at our Home Farm, Strawberry Hill and Gilbert’s Corner.
We do not have any prepicked strawberries today. We are definitely late in the 4th quarter of the season but the berries that will be ripening in the days ahead are incredible! Stay tuned for daily updates as it’s day by day as we get this late in the season. Thanks for your love of Strawberries. ❤️🍓

11:30 AM update; we are sold out of pre-picked strawberries for the day today

Good morning from the Strawberry Field. Sunday May 31st.
A beautiful weekend! Where was this weather on Memorial Day weekend when our berries were peaking?! We are late in the 4th quarter of our Strawberry Season and we are so thankful to all of you Strawberry Lovers who have been on the journey with us all season long. Today, our upick reservations are sold out (thank you🍓!). Reservations are required to pick strawberries. Our bakery at the Home farm in Hamilton is open 9-1 and reservations are not necessary to visit/shop all the delicious strawberry baked goods. We will have a berry limited amount of pre-picked strawberries at our Gilbert’s Corner Market location today starting at approx 10:30 with the last load coming from the field about 12 noon. The picking for our Pro Pickers is slow going this morning but they are diligently getting some nice buckets. The long duration of rain last week really impacted our crop, shortening our season and damaging A LOT of berries which makes us even more thankful for the crazy good berries we do have.  Stay tuned for for updates on the status of the fields in the days ahead.

Good morning from the Strawberry Field! Saturday, May 30th
Perfect weather! All our reservations are sold out for upick strawberries today at all our locations (thank you🍓!) Reservations are required to pick strawberries. Later this evening we will walk the fields and determine the availability of reservations for Sunday and post on our website around 6pm.
We are in the 4th quarter of our season but we definitely have some good days ahead yet. We do have delicious baked goods at our Home Farm in the Bakery and reservations are not necessary to visit/shop for homemade goodness. We also are stocked up with A LOT of baked goods at our Gilbert’s Corner Market location in Aldie today open 8-3:30. At approx 10am we will have a decent amount of prepicked strawberries coming from the field. Last load from the field will be about 12noon-ish). Pre-picked at Gilbert’s Corner only today. The quantities are not what they have been the previous weeks but we will have some and some is reason to be happy for sure especially after 10 straight days of rain (we needed rain…but 10 days?!) that damaged A LOT of berries in the field. Thanks as always for your unconditional love of fresh strawberries. Here is the baked goods list for today:

12noon update: a busy Friday! We are just about sold out of prepicked strawberries for today. More tomorrow at Gilbert’s Corner. See below for other details
Friday, May 29th. Good morning from the field. A fantastic weekend ahead for Strawberry Lovers! Today our upick locations at Oatlands in Leesburg and Home Farm in Hamilton are open and have good picking. Reservations are easy to make on our website. It’s drying out quickly but please don’t wear high heels or flip flops. Old shoes and maybe boots still will work best. There are so many crazy good berries in the field but plz know recent rains (much needed) have damaged some berries and you will likely have to sort through it in places. We have spent a lot of hours this week cleaning the fields but couldn’t get to everything. Reservations for Saturday will be available starting at approx 6pm this evening.
We have delicious baked goods at both Upick locations with the home farm having more of a selection because that is where our bakery is at.
We are excited to be back open at our Gilbert’s corner market location today 8-3 stocked up with a huge selection of baked goods and at approx 11:30 buckets of prepicked strawberries will be coming from up from the field. 11:30 is when we will start bringing them from the field and about 12 noon more will come from the field. This post will be updated if/when we get close to selling out for the day. We also expect to have prepicked on both Saturday and Sunday at Gilbert’s Corner.

Good morning from the strawberry field! Thursday, May 28 update:
The sun is out and will be for the next 10 days!
The fields will be drying out in the next couple of days thank goodness. Our 2 upick fields at Oatlands in Leesburg and Home Farm in Hamilton are open with reservations available on our website. The picking is good however please remember to wear your boots because 5 inches of rain the last few days has made things a bit muddy in spots. Your picking will be slowed a bit because sorting will be required as you pick. Rain has unfortunately made some berries mush and there is nothing we can do about that except be thankful we have so many crazy good ones to choose from. We don’t think we will have prepicked today but if we do this message will be updated around noon time. Gilbert’s corner and strawberry hill are closed today. Our home farm bakery is stocked with delicious baked goods so stop on by to get the best of the berry best before the season ends. We think we still have 2-3 weeks left.

Good morning from the Strawberry field. Wednesday, May 27th
We are open today at our upick field at Oatlands in Leesburg and Home Farm in Hamilton. Reservations are easy to make on our website. Plz wear boots as recent rains (a lot of rain) has made for muddy conditions but don’t let that distract you from all the sweet berries. Pic below of incredible bucket from this morning. Delicious baked goods at both locations with the Home Farm having a larger selection. No reservations necessary to visit and shop the bakery.
Unfortunately we don’t have any prepicked strawberries today but are hoping for some later on in the week and for sure the weekend.
Gilbert’s Corner and Strawberry hill remain closed. 2-3 weeks left of strawberry season and once the sun shines again (starting tomorrow) we are going to be back in the groove for prime time strawberry picking!

Good morning from the Strawberry Field Tuesday, May 26th.
Wet and muddy conditions as rain has continued. We are open at both our Oatlands and Home Farm locations for those that need to get the taste of sweet berries and won’t let anything stop them! Our Farm Bakery is open with delicious baked goods. Unfortunately because of the rain we don’t have any prepicked berries today at any location. Our Gilbert’s Corner and Strawberry Hill locations are closed. Sunshine and beautiful weather is coming and Strawberry Season we hope will be another 2-3 weeks. ❤️🍓
