Wegmeyer Farms is nestled in the rolling hills of Loudoun County, Va., and operated by Tyler and Harriet Wegmeyer. Wegmeyer Farms, a 19th century farmstead, offers pick-your-own strawberries in the spring and pumpkins in the fall. The farm has received numerous awards including the 2016 Virginia Farm of the Year.

Saturday April 23- Good morning ☀️ from Gilberts Corner (39958 John Mosby Hwy Aldie ..for you newbies)
We are getting close to the start of our magical strawberry harvest season. Couple more weeks yet. As the anticipation builds for strawberry picking we are offering all the other strawberry crazy goods. Donuts, Pies, pound cakes, jam, dressing, pretzels etc and YES Grutos strawberry soft serve in a pint! We are here at Gilbert’s Corner market both Saturday and Sunday 8-4ish.
Wishing you and your family a very blessed Easter. Our family started this glorious day with a visit from the Easter Bunny, then a beautiful Church service and ended it with putting row covers (aka blankets) back on our strawberry plants at all 3 of our field locations. We are praying the cold temps the next 3 nights don’t do any damage. We are in FULL bloom right now. We haven’t posted pictures of all the other times we’ve covered and uncovered (12 but who’s counting..!) this spring but the weather has been very challenging!

Good morning from Gilbert’s Corner in Aldie ☀️
We are gearing up for the start of Strawberry Season (approx 25ish more days) with DONUTS. Flavors of the day are strawberry frosted (new recipe), vanilla glaze and cinnamon sugar. NEW item this week is strawberry frosted pretzels (free samples). Other crazy goods are strawberry pies, pound cakes, jam and dressing. We are here as part of the farmers market today and Sunday from 8-4ish. For those newbies, Gilbert’s Corner is at the intersection of rt 15&50 in Aldie.
My Dad is not on FB but a very happy 81st Birthday to Grandpa “Patch Boss” Wegmeyer! He and My mom will be here in a few weeks for the start of strawberry season. Can’t wait! For the past 13 years my mom and dad have come from their farm in Michigan to help our family out during our busy seasons. Many of you have gotten to know him when you have come to our home farm to pick. He loves talking with you all and sharing a good laugh and teaching little people especially all about strawberries 🍓

Our DONUT truck is set up at Gilberts Corner Farmers Market (corner of rt 50&15, Aldie) until 3:30 ish today with strawberry donuts, pound cakes, jam and pies(new for 2022)! Our first crazy goods of the season. Our Strawberry harvest season hasn’t officially started yet (hopefully in about another 30 days) but we are all about celebrating the strawberry as much as we can.

It isn’t quite strawberry picking time yet but we are getting things started with our donut truck at Gilbert’s Corner (intersection of rt 15&50 or 39958 John Mosby Hwy, Aldie). We will be baking fresh donuts from 8-3:30ish both Sat and Sun April 2&3rd. We will have a few flavors including a NEW strawberry donut recipe and will also have a limited amount of baked strawberry pies and pound cakes along with jams, salad dressing, etc.

We are looking for a few foodie and farm fans to join us and our team for the spring strawberry season! If you have a love for serving others, being outside, creating memorable experiences through fun and food, then we would love to welcome you to our farm team. We have openings in our donut bakery, as well as customer service both during the week and on weekends. Where else can you get a free bucket of berries every time you work?! This is a great opportunity for mature adults, college students and high school students. Starting pay ranges from $12 to $15 per hour depending on experience. Strawberry season runs from May 1st to mid-June.

Thank you for loving our strawberries. ❤️ It’s an honor to be able to provide our friends and community a sweet healthy treat during the months of May and June each year. This will be our 14th strawberry season and 20th overall. On this National Agriculture day we are so grateful to all the farmers who provide food for our family. With 3 boys (2 now teenagers) we make frequent trips to the grocery store! We cannot wait to again share our love for strawberries with you again this year.

About another 179 more days until the 2022 strawberry season BUT 1 more day of pumpkin season. We are OPEN today 10-6 at our home farm in Hamilton (38299 Hughesville rd). We’ve got a great selection of pumpkins and all our jar goods and goodies are available one last day. We are also baking fresh apple cider donuts and pumpkin bread.

We are OPEN today Saturday, October 30 from 10-6. There is still a big selection of pumpkins available in the field and in our stone barn. As well as fresh donuts, pumpkin bread, strawberry jam, honey, etc (all the homemade good stuff)
No reservations needed if just shopping in the barn but if you and your family want to do the pumpkin upick experience we ask that you make reservations on our website (really easy to do)
The farm will only be open 2 more days and then in about another 180 or so days (but whose counting...?!) we will open again for our 2022 strawberry season!

In addition to last minute pumpkin/gourd shopping, now is the time to get your friends and family Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts from the farm when you visit them for the holidays. Our farm store is open to anyone who wants to stop by-no reservation needed. If you want to do the upick pumpkin experience please make a reservation on our website. Fresh donuts and pumpkin bread will be available on the weekend. Saturday, Sept 25th (tomorrow) is opening day for upick pumpkins at our home farm in Hamilton!

We have a spectacular upick field and look forward to sharing it with you and your family. We’ve planted approximately 85 different varieties this year and our old historic stone barn is also loaded to the max for all you who love fall, love decorating and love pumpkins!
The reservation system will be much the same as it was last year for pumpkins. Reservations are $30 for your entire family and includes your first $30 in pumpkin purchases. The reservation is to hold your time slot as we have to limit the number of guests to the farm to enhance everyone’s farm experience and avoid crowding. The weather is going to be perfect pumpkin weather this weekend!
Today with the help of Grandpa “Patch Boss” Wegmeyer we finished planting the strawberries before the rain! We’ve planted more strawberries than ever before at each of our 3 field locations ..Home Farm in Hamilton, Oatlands in Leesburg and Gilbert’s Corner in Aldie. Only about 220 days until the 2022 Strawberry Harvest Season begins!
