Happy Spring! soon to be Summer! .
We have been busy with multiple projects.
My most recent projects have been songwriting which been very fun to do. :)
I have bariatric surgery coming up on June 22nd. Which is exciting and scary.
We are working to boost my VA Disability rating to 100%.

Added a few new buns. :) A blue. Silver Fox from a different line, a beautiful chocolate harlequin Rex doe from Erica Wheeler from C&E Acres! A red NZ doe, a broken red NZ buck, and a blue torte Rex.

Breeding has been on the back burner as we make adjustments to our herd, and farm. But we are getting there. So stay tuned!

I would like to thank the person who asked the original question, “What is the point of youth ag?”

There is no right or wrong answer to that question. Agriculture is a journey, and every single person takes a different path along the way.

But if you have a moment, be sure to check out the rest of the magazine from PacWest Showman. It is an honor to be a sponsor, but even more importantly, it is inspiring to see the outstanding young men and women who simply try. And sometimes, trying alone is worth more than any banner or buckle because that is where learning, growth, and character begin.

So whether you hang a banner or not, you still win just by showing up and trying.

Fascinating Rabbit Facts

360-Degree Vision: Rabbits have eyes positioned high and on the sides of their skull, giving them nearly 360-degree vision. Their only blind spot is a small area directly in front of their nose.

Constant Tooth Growth: A rabbit’s teeth never stop growing. They naturally file them down by chewing on roughage like hay, twigs, and grasses.

The Binky: When a rabbit is extremely happy, they perform a joyful leap in the air, often twisting their body and flicking their feet. This maneuver is known as a "binky."

Built-in Air Conditioning: Their iconic large ears are not just for excellent hearing; they also serve as a crucial thermoregulation system. The exposed blood vessels in their ears help release excess body heat since rabbits cannot pant or sweat effectively.

Crepuscular Routine: Unlike nocturnal or diurnal animals, rabbits are crepuscular. This means they are most active during the twilight hours of dawn and dusk.

Tooth Purring: Rabbits do not purr with vocal cords like cats do. Instead, when they are relaxed and content, they gently grind their teeth together, creating a soft vibration and sound often referred to as "tooth purring."

Incredible Jumpers: A rabbit's powerful hind legs allow them to leap up to 3 feet high in a single bound and cover distances of up to 10 feet horizontally.

Complex Burrow Systems: Wild European rabbits live in large, complex underground tunnel systems called warrens, which can have multiple entrances and house dozens of individuals.
