Yesterday was an incredible day at our Workshop. We had 12 participants. Thank you to all who attended and thank you Dawn and Jane for all you do. Most of all thank you to the Heart Sing Herd for holding the space of possibility and for showing up to facilitate healing. We are blessed by you all. Looking forward to the next one.

I wasn’t ready, but then how could I ever be.

Yesterday on a breezy spring afternoon Goldfingers Trailblazer “ Blaze” took his leave from his physical body surrounded by love and care and his best friend Cooper. The Herd stood watch from the pasture holding the space for all of us. The Heart Sing Spirit Herd was there as well to lead him to the great fields beyond this realm.. the ones with lush open fields, clear perfect skies and crystal clear water flowing gently in streams.

Blaze came to me at the most crucial time in my life. I hit my head in July 2010 and he came in August. He helped me find joy again in riding and confidence. He stood by me through the loss of my beloved Bodie and then through divorce. He has been here for 16 years. A cornerstone, a Pillar in the Herd and on this land.

He helped me help people. From riding to the work he was instrumental and changing countless lives. Gentle, kind, tough, and steady he taught all of us in every way.

I feel like I could write a book just about him.. perhaps one day I will. But today.. on the dawn after his passing my tears blur the screen as I “ try” to finds words. For you see, an integral part of me has left and a part of my heart with him.

25 years is simply not enough but it will have to do. I am grateful for every one we shared together.

Run free my boy. I’ll see you again. Thank you for all of it. For laughter, for lessons, for seeing me, for teaching me Trust. For taking care of me and of Chrissy. For it ALL.
