I've never had a formal feed program in place at my barn as I believe every horse needs a different approach, but I always follow the recommendations of a veterinarian.
Baby and Khyia receive a small handful of an Alfalfa/Timothy mix with loose salt.
Jack and Zuko are currently on mash-only diets, as they are no longer able to chew hay.
Being on a well-balanced feed program truly makes a significant difference. In just two weeks, Zuko has consistently gained weight. The pictures don't do him justice! 🙌

When your reserve feed supply resembles this, however, it makes for a happy barn owner and so incredibly thankful for good owners who truly want the best for their horses and ensure they have what they need to thrive!
