Two of the winter greenhouse planter boxes are now complete. I have one more wall to build to complete the 3rd box. Next step will be filling the boxes with soil before putting the rest of the roof on. That way we can use the tractor rather than having to shovel it all.

We've had frost the last 2 nights so I'm feeling a small sense of urgency to get this done.

More progress on the winter greenhouse. We figured out how to construct the ends and secure the cattle panel roof frame....

More progress on the winter greenhouse. We figured out how to construct the ends and secure the cattle panel roof frame. I have a concept of a plan for the planter boxes. The back one is in and ready for soil.

My plan is to use greenhouse fabric on the arch and clear plastic roof panels in the ends.

Today, our lovely Cryptid Castle BTZ Penelope was bred to Blossom-Thyme CM Zhuzh. This will give us some of those coveted Candyman genetics and a nice little line-breed on Wingwood's Lovin Astaire. The pair should produce some very successful kids. Thank you to Kel Kleidon for selling this pretty doe to me. And thank you to Judy Bevaart for the use of your gorgeous buck. Let's all think pink šŸ©·!!

This guy is super sweet and should throw some pretty and productive udders. I own his grandsire, Oh who should have his +B next year. I'm having a heck of a time drying off 2 of Oh's daughters (from different dams). They just keep producing. Oh's claim to fame is buttery soft udders with amazing orifices.

Final greenhouse status today. Darren and I built all the walls. Next we staple on the house wrap and insulate the walls.

After that, the treated siding boards go on the outside and the cedar siding boards go on the inside.

Next is the cattle panels that will make the hoops and the planter boxes inside.

I'm so excited about this project. I still have a few unknowns like how to properly enclose the ends but I'm sure those will work themselves out.

More progress. The cable is buried and the pad for the greenhouse is down. Darren and I are starting on walls.
