Our animals graze through a portion of a pasture called a paddock. They are rotated into a new paddock and kept out of the previous paddock every day (or sometimes twice/ day). This does a few things: It mimics the relationship that exists in nature between wild herds and the soil. Graze, fertilize, trample, move. This allows the ground to become nourished and rejuvenated and the forage to regrow

undisturbed. It also prevents possible parasites in the soil from completing their life cycle and denies them the ability to infect the livestock. As a result it's not necessary to pump the animals full of anti-parasitic medicine or antibiotics. We do not inject hormones or steroids. If an animal is sick or injured we will treat it medically if needed, but will not sell it without disclosing any treatment the animal receives.

Last call for August pastured chicken. They must be pre-ordered. Will be ready by 8/8/26. $5.25/lb whole or $5.85/lb portioned. Chickens will average about 6 lbs each. Minimum order is 5.

Such a great guide of linoleic acid in cooking oils. Much or all of the damage done by frying comes from oxidation of linoleic acid, so lower is better.
