There are decisions in winemaking that rarely reveal themselves outright, yet they shape every sip. The barrel is one of them.

For our Beckstoffer To Kalon and Georges III Cabernets, we select Darnajou barrels handcrafted in Montagne-Saint-Émilion from French oak that is carefully chosen and naturally seasoned before it ever holds wine. More than a vessel, the barrel becomes part of the wine's story.

Our winemaker selects each barrel with intention, considering not only what it will contribute today, but how it will help the wine evolve over time. It's a quiet detail, perhaps, but one that reflects our belief that exceptional wines are built through thoughtful choices at every stage of the journey.
