Our matriarch, Rosa Lee, was exactly that. Her strength, resilience, and love for family helped shape the roots of our winery and the legacy we continue today.

In her honor, we’re proud to introduce the new 2024 Rosa Lee Petit Verdot. This award winning wine is bold, beautiful, and full of character, just like the woman who inspired it.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE WINE INDUSTRY? l’ve been in the wine industry for just over 30 years!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB IN WINE? My first job was as a wine sales representative for a distributor in Aspen, Co, back in the ‘90s.

WHO IS ONE WOMAN IN THIS INDUSTRY WHO HAS INSPIRED YOU? Rosa Lee deLeuze, co-founder of ZD Wines, was an inspiration to me early in my career. She raised her family, founded an iconic Napa Valley winery, kicked off a sales & marketing team, emphasized hospitality, and much more. She had a knack for connecting with people with her quick wit and hard work.
I miss her.

WHAT IS ONE BIT OF ADVICE YOU WOULD TELL YOUR YOUNGER SELF STARTING OFF IN THIS INDUSTRY?
“Keep being you (yet with less hand-wringing!)”

WHAT DOES “LEADERSHIP MEAN TO YOU? Leadership to me is walking the talk, having great empathy as well as self-reflection, and demonstrating discipline and organization with a light heartedness.

WINE INDUSTRY “TURN ON’S”? Great access to amazing wine and culinary talents, travel, and the long-term friendships that develop over the years.

WINE INDUSTRY “TURN OFF’S”? Normalizing inappropriate behavior.
